Trainee Travel Stipend
The Ontario Association of Gastroenterology (OAG) will annually award ten (10) travel stipends each of One Thousand Canadian Dollars (CDN$1,000) for trainee members to apply towards travel to an accredited national or international meeting whose primary focus is gastroenterology or hepatology. Examples of eligible meetings include CDDW, DDW, AASLD The Liver Meeting, ILC Liver Congress, UEGW, etc.
Important Dates:
Deadline #1 – September 1st: FOR meetings between November 1st and April 30th
Deadline #2 – March 1st: FOR meetings between May 1st and October 31st
A maximum of five (5) awards will be given at each deadline.
Eligibility Criteria:

The trainee must be registered in an Ontario training program during the application period and meeting travel period.

The trainee must be a member of the OAG and have attended at least one OAG event.

The trainee's Program Director must be an active member of the OAG and verify the trainee's status by signing the application form.

The meeting to be attended must be accredited.

Preference will be given to trainees attending a meeting who are presenting research or other work.

Applications must be completed and submitted electronically to Drs. Steve McIntosh or Emily Ching at info@gastro.on.ca by the abovementioned deadlines.
Fulfillment Criteria:

Trainees must submit copies of registration confirmation.

Trainees must submit a 250-word report after meeting attendance outlining educational objectives achieved.

Trainees are expected to make themselves available to present at the OAG June Review Course if requested.
